Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SMSPin, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as readable as we can.

1. The service

SMSPin provides temporary virtual phone numbers that can receive SMS and OTP codes for verifying accounts on third-party apps and services. Numbers are single-use and time-limited. We do not guarantee delivery of any particular SMS, but we auto-refund failed activations (see Section 6).

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use SMSPin.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
  • You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.
  • One person, one account. Multiple accounts for fraud, abuse, or evadeing limits will be closed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SMSPin to:

  • Violate any law or regulation in your jurisdiction or ours
  • Impersonate another real person or entity
  • Commit fraud, including account takeovers or evadeing a service's security
  • Harass, threaten, or harm anyone
  • Harvest, scrape, or resell SMSPin data or numbers without written permission
  • Overwhelm our infrastructure with automated traffic beyond your rate limits
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, and report serious violations to law enforcement.

4. Payments

  • You pre-fund your balance via Stripe or our supported crypto gateways.
  • Each successful activation deducts from your balance at the price shown at order time.
  • Prices, fees, and available payment methods may change; we'll post the current values in your dashboard.
  • You are responsible for any taxes due in your jurisdiction.

5. Number usage rules

  • Each number is rented for a fixed window (typically 20 minutes).
  • Use the number only for the app or service you selected at purchase.
  • Do not share the number with third parties during its rental window.
  • We may block certain number-app combinations where abuse is detected.

6. Refunds

If an activation expires without receiving the expected SMS, the cost is refunded automatically to your SMSPin balance. Refunds are to balance, not to the original payment method, unless required by law. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

7. API use

API access is governed by these Terms plus any limits published in the API docs. You must keep your API keys secret. We may revoke keys that are abused, leaked, or used for prohibited purposes.

8. Operator program

Users who connect Android devices as operators agree to the separate Operator Terms presented at onboarding. Payouts are governed by those terms.

9. Intellectual property

SMSPin, the logo, and the software behind the service are ours. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service. You retain ownership of any content you submit.

10. Warranties and disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that every SMS will be delivered, that any specific app will accept our numbers, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Where we fail to deliver, our remedy is the automatic refund described above.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMSPin's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify SMSPin against any claim arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. On closure, any remaining balance below the minimum withdrawal threshold may be forfeited, as disclosed in the dashboard.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect 14 days after we notify registered users by email. Continued use after that date means you accept the new version.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to SMSPin's operating entity, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
